It's not possible to remove the camera shortcut from the lock screen as standard in your Xperia C. However, you can use some 3rd party apps like 'lock screen policy' that you can find on Google Play to remove the shortcut from the lock screen.

Try going into the camera settings and find quck launch and turn it off. As this has worked for me.

Turning off the Quick Launch in the camera settings worked for me too. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'd just updated my phone when the new quick launch at the bottom appeared. What a pain when swiping, that was not a good idea Sony! But I otherwise still love my phone 🙂

Yes, it works, but stops the camera launching from the side button as well (SP), a feature that I like.

But I agree with all of you, the camera on the lock screen is a stupid idea, and not allowing to remove it is even more stupid. I had to delete tons of black photos of the inside of my pockets.
