screen dims and brightens automatically

My xperia C3 has below problem and can't solve by Customer Service:
When web page, forum, letters that contains high colour(red / yellow words , pictures) the screen dim automatically. When scroll it out of the screen, it becomes bright again. It hurts my eyes and annoy me so much.
CS said it can't be solved, please wait for version update, maybe.........
Can I only wait, wait and wait? Xperia C3 is **bleep**.
- auto detect envoirmental function is off
- no screen saver
- no 3rd party software installed, just rec'd from CS
- android 4.4.2, software version 19.2.A.0391

What if you reinstall the latest update with PCC? or boot on safe mode?

I went to Customer service in my location, picked up from him & tested at once, the problem was still here, I complained immediately but no help. I checked another new C3 there, it had same problem as mine! then CS only asked me to wait next update version. but no change after nearest update.

I have tried boot in safe mode, still has problem! Please HELP!!!

Me2 have the same issue along with camera problem especially video recording problem, while i record videos, it makes video blurr n clear adjusting focus repeatedly for every 2 seconds n even records same, i have tried all possible settings, i have re installed software and tried, these two issues r not sloved, finally it was taken to sony service, they checked n simply replied wait for sotware update. I was really disappointed for buying it for Rs 23000 while some other companies giving the same specs for half price and they perform wel on this dept.since 12 yrs im using sony mobiles just becoz of d QUALITY, i just dont understand how this model was came out without proper test from one of the giant company like SONY..anyway i hope new update will resolve these issues.

I bought this C3 just couples months and I notice it has a problem other people is facing: screen dims and brightens automatically. How could this happen? It is the design program or technical fault of C3? My son's Z Ultra also face the same problem

Setting--->Display--->White Balance--->63 63 63 can solve the problem. You should say thank you to me.

@hellohelloworld : Hi..its almost solved..thanks a lot. Since i bought this mobile, I hav been looking forward a solution for this, but still i found on very few pages getting dim n bright, should increase to 63 to any other figure?

I refer to this dim and bright problem. I suppose Sony would fix it on lollipop update, but it is not. Recently, I've tried to adjust the white balance setting, I found that some setting can improve the problem a lot, such as (63,63,63).

I should not say this setting can totally solved the problem. What we should do now is sharing the webpages that got dim and bright, and then figure out the best setting together. I am just a simple user, but I spend a lot of time trying to make my c3 better.

I hope this problem can be solved. Please share anything that we can improve our C3 such as the front camera. Before Sony releasing another update, it is one of the thing we can do in this forum.

Hi..after a visit of many web pages n playstore i figure out 117-117-117 is d best count to remove almost 99.9% dim n bright. U can also check in playstore at editor choice..scroll down may b 2nd app called EQ being with skyblue.

Hi..after a lollipop update issue with front camera i hav tried many camera apps n found finally " A better camera" app [ Avbl in play store] this app works fine in c3 dual. 4:3 size pics good in this, once u choose 16:9 again d pics r dark. For this size better take it n sony camera by changing setting to manul n hdr on..somehow better alternative until d new update release from Sony.

Thanks! I am happy to hear your suggestion. How about the flash light of front cam? If it works，I will update to lollipop again. At this moment，I keep using the Kikat build .391 firmware. It takes time to upgrade and downgrade again.

Hello, I have tried "a better camer" and "camera fv-5" on lollipop, both work fine on front cam 4:3 including the flash light. As you said,16:9 got dark image. Thanks for your clear explaination. I think it is the best temporary solution for c3 lollipop user at this moment.

Camera fv 5 seems to b no front cam? While im using with kitkat i used camera fv 5 and cinema fv5[ video rec] both apps fulfilled my requirement.

No, i did nt find front cam option, wer its exactly located? Im using camera fv 5 lite version. It seems only purchased version had this feature?
