How can I update to 29.1.B.0.87?

My phone has actually the release 29.0.B.1.55 installed.
When I check my phone for an update I get the message that I have the latest release installed.

The support Webpage says that the latest release is 29.1.B.0.87.

How can I get the latest version?

You could collect your phone to the computer, downloading Sony companion app and upgrade your phone accordingly.

When Sony releases updates before being delivered via OTA they are available via Sony companion software.

You can download it from here: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

Hi @Markus2,

Update availability varies between different regions so if you haven't received a notification about a new software update in your phone it may not be available in your region yet. As soon as the update is available you will should receive a notification informing you of it. You can also connect your phone to a PC and have any of our PC software search for new updates.

I think I simply need to wait. When I look up a new version via pc I get the same message as I get on the phone.

Is your phone carrier branded? Have you tried using the Sony PCC? Usually a software update/upgrade is first available using the Sony PCC then via OTA...

... can you try with the PC Companion Suite and report?

Look, I have this "mania" that whatever device I own, I register an account in the manufacturer site. Whenever an update is ready to be installed I get an email, and Sony is not different.

If you still haven't registered your device, visit this site: https://account.sonymobile.com - register an account, add your device and check the "My Support" area and you will see immediately IF a software update is available or if you are already using the latest version avaialble for your device. Same here. Netherlands, C5 Ultra and still nada. Come on Sony, it's been a month and a half already since the distributing started. I NEED that update for the supposed battery life fix. Don't leave me hangin here Sony, please, i... NEED... this... everything... is going dark... need to... recharge my phone.

They promised us at the very least the update to 6.0. But seeing how long it's taking for some countries to get a relatively minor update has me worried. The M5 and newly announced XA (XA already running 6.0) with mediatek chipsets gives me some hope atleast. Typing this on my old Moto G cause my Ultra dual is once again plugged in for charging...
