How to set my sd card as internal storage

I want to set my new installed sd card as internal storage, however when I followed the steps on google support https://support.google.com/android/answer/6088895?hl=en

there was no selectable options that I can format sd card as internal storage.

Was it disabled?

Because I found HTC U12+ and U19e still have the options there.

Hi @bohr, welcome to our forum!

This is a feature that was never added to Xperia devices when it became available in Android 6 (if I don't remember it wrong) due to security and performance aspects.

I remember that I did some digging back then and from what I can remember, HTC was the only manufacturer that added this function in their devices and no other Android device has it (can of course have been changed by now though but more and more manufacturers seems to move away from SD card slots in general).
