I have tried the following

(1) Removing dust from the port

(2) Cleaning the port

The phone will charge for a few seconds then stop unless I jam the cable at a particular angle (not really a sustainable solution).

STOP doing that, try a different cabble before you damage the device, if you experience the same issue then you will have to get it inspected by your Local Support

I don think removing dust or cleaning the port would work,infact u will end up damaging device to more extent...Just try changing the cable,i think it will help u..Thank you dqfansurvey
