No 3G Connectivity through WIND Mobile with Xperia T LT30A.

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a Xperia T LT30A which was originally locked to Bell. I am with WIND mobile and went through quite a bit of hassle looking for phones that met their AWS (UMTS/HSPA+ Band IV - 1700Mhz) 3G band. The Xperia T stated on the white paper that it was compatible. So after receiving the phone I unlocked it with a code from CellUnlocker.net. I completed the unlock and restarted my phone - as soon as it booted. I began to receive all the voicemails and text messages I hadn't received since my previous phone was stolen. All seemed good, until I realized there was no 3G connectivity.

Directly on the box from Bell it states that the compatibility is GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/800/1900. UMTS/HSPA+ Bands 1/2/4/5. LTE Bands 2/4/5/17. I can see that it supports Band IV though when I search up the phone information through the dial code *#*#4636#*#* it shows that the network type is Band III. The phone is currently set to WCDMA preferred but when I try to select another radio band in the advanced settings under the dial code the list pops up blank.

I am feeling defeated. If anybody knows how to fix this or has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I have no explanation to why this happens. The phone supports the network you require. I suggest that you contact Bell to see if you can get more information about the network lock and if there are any other limitations set or implemented in customized software.

Have you entered the correct APN (access point names) You should be able to enter it under settings > more... > mobile networks > Access point names. You would then enter the correct info that you get from wind to access 3G. I have this issue every time I unlock a phone that uses 3G. And every time I update my phone. If you don't want to call wind for the info, usually a quick google search for "wind apn" should find the answers you want.
