Record 1 hour video with Xperia XZ

I need to record a video of an hour straight seminar talk using my phone, which I think most phones will be overheat without any pause. At what setting should I set my phone to so that I can record it in longer time without damaging my phone due to heat?

Hello @YT1 and welcome to the community!

First, make sure you have enough battery and space on your SD card. Then I'd recommend recording in Full HD (30fps) resolution, take a few test shots before you begin to tweak brightness and color saturation, and if you'll be using a tripod or mobile mount I'd also suggest turning off SteadyShot option.

I can't record more than 4 minutes of video with my XZ before the camera app closes down due to heat. Absolute garbage.

What resolution are you recording at? Do you have Object Tracking on?

Full HD 60 with object tracking on.

Try to shot with the same settings in safe mode and see how long you can record. Then test again with Object Tracking off.
