What is this V icon?

A new symbol has appeared on my phone and I don't know what it is or how to turn it off please help it looks like a Vo with two arcs over the o and LTE written up the side. I can't post a photo here please help.

it is Voice over LTE, it essentially allows you to make calls over the lte networks which is faster, more clearly
