Sony xperia xz1 compact : EAR SPEAKER sound microphone not working

I have a Sony Xperia XZ1 COMPACT, today suddenly the ear speaker gives out no sound. When I make calls, I have to put them on loudspeaker.

They can hear me, but I can't hear them without the loudspeaker on.

Bedire this happened, my Gmail app & a few other apps started showing that Sony robot configuration 🤖 logo instead of the app logo. So I reset app settings. Please advise! (PS. Phone is out of warranty). Thank you 🙂

hello @Mechoopda

can you try to boot to safe mode by long tapping power off button. and try to make a phone call see if the earpiece works.

also try to run XPeria tests in Settings>Support
