topic XZ2 256GB stores 35GB data, FAT vs ExFAT in XZ Series

Hello,

I am using a 256GB micro SD card -actual capacity 268GB which I have formatted ExFAT. It gives faster writing and reading speeds than the FAT format that is given using the native Android setting.

Does this format limit capacity of the card to 35GB or thereabout on the phone?

I took the card out of the phone and transferred the files directly from the PC. I see that the files have copied -i.e. music files play on the PC from the card.

Then, insert the card on the phone and restart it. I can see the new folders/subfolders, they appear on "Files" but the folders are empty.

Do I have to format the SD card to FAT? Is my card reader faulty? I used a 64GB microSD card before and the phone showed that usable capacity with no problems.
