Test the touchscreen

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test touchscreen.

Thank you uliwooly, for your reply.

I have now placed it back to Factory Settings, and of course I cannot log in again as I cannot type ha ha.

Anyway thanks again, I think I will have to get it repaired.

Hi @Laolad,

I'm so sorry to hear about your phone.

If you had a Google account added in your device and a screen lock on the phone a service called Google Device Protection was activated and when you reset the phone you will have to verify your account with your Google credentials, and since your touch screen isn't working correctly this will close to impossible.

I would recommend getting in contact with your Local support team and they will gladly assist you with having the phone sent in to an authorized service centre, they will also answer any questions that you may have regarding service routines, warranty and so forth.
