Hello,

first of all want to say that for all my life i only use sony mobile phones.

I just got XZ and see same problem as i had on almost all android sony phones.

Lagg when i scroll i call menu, when try to search received and dialed numbers.

Everywhere else phone has no laggs but here, its so disappointing that my next phone probably will be from different brand.

Also one more issue. Why when dialing number, it does not auto fill or shows me number what was previously dialed by me but not in phonebook or number was received.
It only auto fills numbers from phone book. This is terribly bad idea to remove this function.

Hi @Chikodol,

Try resetting the phone app. To do this please go to Settings > Apps > 3 dots > Show System > Phone > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data.

This issue did not start after period of using the phone. That’s how it works from unboxing the phone.

I did reset after your post but it did not fix any of the mentioned problem.

Your tips not solved the problem. Freset, flash stock firmware... now chance!

it is a scrolling bug in this app (i logcat with adb and find many error)

The call menu lag is not only XZ problem. Before i had 5 sony phones and all had same problems. All lag when scroll is call log.

For so many years sony could not fix this software problem.

I have never seen this problem in any other phone, even 10 time cheaper samsung does not have this problem.

And, why auto fill option was removed from dial menu? This is stupid and wrong.

This issue also happening on my XZ. I think problem come from phone dialer software. Sony fix it, please. It is not urgent error but we use phone dialer everyday and it make me sick. Pls fix it as soon as possible.

When you say about safe mode, you think it should fix lag? Or auto fill?

If lag no safe mode does not fix it. And i repeat, this problem is on every sony mobile i have ever seen.

If about auto fill.

Auto fill is disabled only on XZ.

On XA it is working as it should. But XZ has no auto fill.

I wanted to test if the lag issue was happening in safe mode. I don't think it happens to all Sony phones, it certainly doesn't happen to mine or any of my colleagues here.

Please try backing up your handset and running a software repair using Xperia Companion.

I would like to mention: this issue just only happened when we update to Android 7. When I buy XZ, it's still run with Android 6 and Call dialer is ok. Just please check again the call dialer on Android 7 firmware

Nothing is helping dialer lag.

I had ARC S, C, M, C3 dual, now XZ.

Purchased XA for my wife.

All have and had lag in dialer.

Only sony device i had without dialer lag is Z2 tablet

Cant say if it is after android upgrade. First i did after unpacking was android ugrade. So i have no idea how dialer was working in android 6.

What about autofill of numbers in dialer? Any plans to fix this issue?

I think the phone book and call list have issues. When swiping up and down is not smooth, Sony needs to fix this for the next update. Thanks a lot
