No option for Wi-fi calling?

I have an Xperia X Performance on Android 8.0.0. It is not network-locked and was not bought from a network provider. My network provider allows Wi-fi calling, but I can't find an option to enable this on my device. Is this supported?

Hi @littleloucc, let me see if I can be of any help here.

As @Strampke mentioned, it may be the case that your network provider does not support Wi-Fi Calling for your model, this due to the fact that it is the network operator who decides if VoWiFi/Wi-Fi Calling is enabled or not in your device.

If Wi-Fi Calling is enabled by your network provider, you can enable it by opening the phone app > Tap the menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Calls > Wi-Fi Calling > Tap the switch next to the text "Wi-Fi Calling.

Thanks for your reply.

As I've stated, the phone is not locked to a network operator, and so I have the standard Sony OS build (no network operator changes or specific software). That option is not available in the menu you described. Please can you confirm that it is available in the OS on my model and android version, per my original post.

Ah, so it isn't provided as standard in the OS, and would have to be provided by the operator? My network operator keeps telling me it should be available on my phone's OS (they're removing their app that provides that functionality as 'most' phones have the capability already). Thanks for your help!

I am sorry if my previous response was a bit unclear. As you can see in the link provided by @Strampke, Xperia X Perfomance does support Wi-Fi calling, but as I mentioned it is in the end decided by the network provider whether WiFi-calling is enabled for the model or not
