topic Fingerprint Scanner Scratches in 10 Series

Somehow in yesterday I was registering a new fingerprint to my device and then I realized that there's a thin plastic (probably some kind of protective film I guess) fall off and I used my fingernail to remove it as it is not sticky already and now it got scratches on it. I just want to know if we can find any sort of protective layer for the FP scanner or even replace them?
