Hello,

My new Xperia 5 II sends SMS twice. I've noticed that it takes pretty long to receive a delivery report. When I use the SIM on my old Xperia XZ1 Compact the problem disappears and the delivery reports are instant.

It's definitely the phone.

Anyone else having the same problem and / or know a workaround?

Try clearing the SMS app's cache and data from the settings, you should find it in apps and notifications in your list of apps.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried but no effect. The phone has been doing that since I got it.

Try a different SIM then? it could be it since it's not the app.

Right. It was the SIM card. A different one worked OK. Weird.

Brilliant! one time I had an old SIM and put it in a device I had just bought, it wasn't recognized at all, thought it was the phone since the SIM worked in an older phone, however when I bought a new SIM it was read just fine by the newborn.
