hi guys,

my laptop doesnot see the phone and is unable to connect to trasnfere music that I have amassedove experia r 50 years how does that getrectified? google is full of photos already companion does not workeither.thankyou I had a stroke and brought thr phone to put music on instead of a samsung did i do wrong? !

Hi there, did you try to test another port in the laptop or another cable ? Maybe testing it with another laptop if possible to check if it'll work.

Upon connecting the device, unlock the phone and allow the pc access to the file system, until you do this, the pc will show no contents on the phone.

Dear sir,madam, thank you for the reply to my problem but, I HAVE DONE THIS ALREADY. ALLOW ACCESS BUT STILL NOTHING ON MY OLS XZ1 COMPACT TRANSFER WAS EASY AND I HAVE GONE THROUFGH THE SAME PROCDURE WITH THE 5ii BUT ALAS, NO JOY.MY GOOGLWE DRIVE willnot upload all the music files owing to the size so I am up the creek!the C type usb lead does not fit the computer port as both ends areCtype fittings. Not a goo move realy so I now haveto try and purchase one that fits phone and computer. And bought thephone to help me : ie, play music to relax to but nothing other than spotify which usesmydata I can ill afford as I am now unable to work there has to be somone from sony to show me how it is to be done, zoom or a video would be helpful but I have bought a lemon! And I am not too happy I have rvertedback to my old ZenXFi mp4 player which I have had for 15odd years andstill works even on win10. Why have sony made this so difficult? It stresses me out not good for my stroke brain.

Please sony help me out eith this issue
