Xperia Z Notification LED isn't working

Hi all,

I have the problem that my notification LED is not working at all.

Stamina mode is not on, the phone has been rebooted, i tried a factory reset.

Gmail, missed calls, Whatsapp i dont see any notification led only wenn charging.

Any1 a tip for me what todo?

WARNING!!! DO NOT CHANGE COLORS IN Whats app.. the notification problem will again occur. i dont have any notifications since i changed the group notifications to purple in whatsapp.

Anyone else having this problem aswel maybe? any admin who can enlighten me?

Edit: No antivirus installed, tried factory reset, rebooting phone putting stamina mode on and off again, tried light flow, tried seus intalling the phone again. No notifications at all. also tested the LED with the *#*#7378423*#*# option and there its just working so nothing bad with the hardware

it seems like a bug i read more people incluyding myself having the same issue such a shame how such a little thing can be such an annoyance

i now updated to latest software version and killed stamina mode and now it s working you gotta restart the phone though after you switch off the stamina mode

i am at build 10.1.A.1.350 and have stamina mode not on (havent put it on at all) also rebooted my phone, factory reset it but still no notifications

some problem here , i have got my phone replaced 3 time and now i m sick of it .

Xperia support call center has no idea about phones, i guess they are supporting ice cream or how to coock a perfect pizza...shame on sony

does the notification work when the phone is charging?? because for I got it to work without charge it waas working when charging

What a Z user told me is that the Norton Antivirus may interfer with the stanima mode perhaps it creates turbidity for other apps and system functions as well

I have unistalled the Norton antivirus app and it works for emails at leats haven t checked missed calls though

sorry it is actually MCafee should be pre-installed on every Z device. go to apps settings find it and kill it or uninstall it

i m going to bring that s.... back and get my self an HTC one , 699 euros for a phone full of bugs .

Lg and Sony are on my black list...never again

No mcafee here on the VF NL phone i checked everything also tried SEUS to restore all nothing seems to help this bug even light flow not.. Sony indeed needs to fix this asap this is a major annoying bug for users at work i cannot put the sound on so it would be nice to know if some one whatsapped you or any missed calls... this is just rediculous...

it is and if u try to call the xperia support or send tham a mail u ll see that they have no idea what a smartphone is, i ve got as an answer " try to download a 3rd part app from the store"...afther spenr 699 euros i have to wast time to find out a solution????

And the display colors??? do we want to talk about that to?? washed and uninspiring, the black is grey...or maybe i m going blind

yes it change eventually got it to work when I get new gmail the light starts blinking green

call the sony helpdesk if you haven t done so and confront them. of course in the hope you get a bit of a seasoned tech specialist.....

i got another problem after a full charge my stand by time shows only 23 hrs... i don t know if the gauge is incorrect or the battery is faulty

this is what you get with high-end smartphones though the complexity causes more glitches. And this is Sony's first flagship model in the smartphone world they are way behind on the curve when it comes to Apple and Samsung who eliminated all child diseases over longer period of time

if sony can or cannot build a proper smarthphone is not my problem, but as we are the customers and as we spend a lot of money for a gadget like that we are xpecting that things works right..

for such a price what have we got??

I full hd display with washed colors

An average 13 megapixel camera, not better than a 8 megapixel

Battery drains , no reasons why it drains so fast

Notification light isn t working , maybe sometime yes, maybe only on a few devices

No MKV codec

Most of the videos cannot be playd on that phone not even stremed on a big screen

Avarege audio

Poor wifi connections

Phone gets dirty and glossy after 3 minutes...

i guess the list is tooo long by now...even worst than LG

first it was working only when the phone was charging but not when it was without power input. does it work for you when it is charging? thats one thing you should check because it isn t i get replaced again

I updated to latest sofwtare hadnt done that yet and then closed the stanima mode. i am checking to see now if missed calls work they should be a blue light blinking then

yes but some of the previews did argue that the 13 mill camera wasn t really that much better then the samsung 2 camera plus camera pic quality is so much based on individual user taste

also comments were made way before release about the viewing angles which are poor plus glossy screen is a huge factor in a lot of touch screen phones

I do agree about the lack of MKV codec support and the battery drain a and/or sluggish battery probe/gauge

as far as the screen goes I get used to that if i watch full hd videos i think it is mind blowing

but a sony phone can be a risk I had the xperia T which was a battery nightmare the battery just went dead on 50% showing

there is no latest software version, i m running on android 4.1.2 version 10.1.A.1.350

thats the version i am running 4.1.2. of course it is weekend and the phone is just released but i sincerely hope some sony adinistrators are going to run through this forum so far they have been missing in action

these FORUM administrators usually know more then the sheep in the call centres the latter group perhaps did one training and read the manual thats it

wait for the HTC one thats got full HD and some serious specs or the S3.....
