Xperia Z - Won't turn on

Hi,

Picked up my Xperia Z yesterday, and it was off and unresponsive after being charged a few hours earlier.

Back was very hot also.

Yesterday tried several ways to resolve problem, but still not functioning properly.

Managed to get it on yesterday night, but continually every app would crash immediately, so couldn't be used, then turned itself off again.

Left it to charge overnight, but still nothing. Today tried doing the volume up and power for 10 seconds, then charging it again, but still nothing.

Anyone got any ideas? thanks

Download sony update service and repair your phone.If you can,backup some of your most important files.

My computer won't recognise my phone when I plug it in, so can't do that.

Have you actually tried?The phone needs to be turned off for SUS.

Are you talking abouy PC companion?Sony update service is a different tool.

when you did volume up and power button for 10 seconds did device vibrate 3 times in a row? if so then i think your screen on your phone is glitching which means you need to take it into repair place or back where you bought it from and show them that screen isn't turning on but you can still feel a vibrate from phone when doing power on or volume up + power button for 10 seconds and you get 3 vibrates that means device is working just that your screen is not responding like it should so it shows a black display no mather what.

managed to get it on, but same thing is happening - all apps crashing, then system crash.

Im gonna save data then hard reboot, see if that helps.

Re jake - when I hold vol up and power, it vibrates once then restarts

returned to factory defaults, seems to have fixed it.

Update - now not working again..... Last night went to bed and the light from the screen of the phone woke me up.

It was on the initial screen with sony in the mioddle of the screen, and wouldn't change. So I hard reset the phone, now it won't turn on again, no led, no screen no nothing. Tried pluging into pc, wall, still nothing.

Now on again and workiing for a while then has the message of 'com.google.process.gapps not working'

press ok then happens again and again and again, then crashes.

Please help.

Use sony update service and repair software.But I think it would be wise to take it into service.

Same problem.

Services said - power controller fails.
