So have you upgraded it to 4.2.2 yet, and how was it? mine is little bit laggy especially in the Album apps

I've finally upgraded it. I like the New features overall but the phone now becomes very laggy. It's laggy everywhere even when I'm typing this message. I hope sony fixes this. I didn't imagin. It being this laggy

Or you could use a third party app launcher like GO Launcher EX, go ahead and try it. Don't downgrade it first until you've tried that app

Custom launcher is great, but i just love the stock xperia UI, it's very clean and simple however the most of the lag happen in the Album apps when zooming and swipe around the picture, I don't think that custom launcher will solve this issue, we need lag-fix update from sony very soon

Even now when I'm playing games the games slow down since I upgraded my software. I agree with you I hope they have a new update for the xperia Z. Let's just hope that they won't forget us because of the new rumored phone the "Honami".

hey bro, I did some trick and seem like the lag is gone :smileygrin:, the only little lag i had is in the album apps but everything else is smooth now.

here's what i did :

- turn off your phone

- download and install sony update service

- open sony update servive

- thick the option to confirm and click Start

- choose Xperia Z (not Xperia Z SO-02E)

- press the volume down on your phone and connect it to your computer (don't release the volume down)

- let the software detect your phone, when your phone detected you can release the volume down key

- continue with the update process

- when the update is complete, disconect the phone from your computer and turn on your phone

- Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset

- thick the "Erase internal storage" option at the bottom

- click reset phone

after those process the smoothnes is back now or at least it's better that my previous installation :smileyhappy:.

don't forget to backup your contact, message and everithing else that you don't want to lose before doing this, because this process will delete all of your phone data
