does an unlocked phone work in any country?

hi,

Just curious, i just purachsed a Xperia Z unlocked from USA . it doesnt mention international version or anything like that, it just mentioned factory unlocked.I will be moving back to India in 3 months and thats the main reason i bought it here. Will it work fine in India?

This is the one i purchased

in Xperia Z do we have different versions or only 1 version with different color?

Yup it will work fine in india

There are two versions of xperia c6602(without 4g lte) and c6603(with 4g lte)

Both will work absolutely fine

Just a bit anxious! reading forums now, read it has the wifi and bluetoth issues, do u own one? i have 45 days to return it and i have not yet recieved it. expecting a next few days. not sure i should keep it or now!!

also should i buy only the one which has 4g lt? is there any cost diff? i opted for ths mobile after a lot of confusion with S4, the costs are same, but i like the water proof and looks , i can give up some extra bells and whistles S4 has for the looks but the basic function should be fine and i see there are some problem.. also heard the walkman playlist has some problem where it doesnt add a paylist depending on the folder if u want...

if u own it please give some opinion on it... appreciate it, thanks!

I experienced the wifi issues at first but after updating my phone they have gone away

I am not experiencing any of the issues mentioned on this forum, most of which are caused by their owner's fault as they install apps like task killers battery mangers, etc. which should not be installed

You should go for the 4g version as it's more future proof

Walkman player works fine for me

I am in love with my xperia z it works great lasts a full day and am a heavy user keep texting and listening music all day long

Well with any smartphone you have to install software updates to fix the issues

Whenever the updates are released you get a notification via sony pc companion or sony update service which you can use to perform the update

Gotcha... this is my first smart phone, other than Ipad which i rarely use, i have no much exp with these technologically HIFI stuff.:-) and i am sure i will not exploit all the functionality of this. I will keep my eyes opened for the PC companion you mentioned. thanks again. will keep updated about my experience.have a peacefull weekend.

Just an update, the bluetooth and wifi didnt work together out of the box. but with the upgradation when i used the PC companion for the first time everything is PERFECT. No problem what so ever.
