HD video recording and playback issues

Hi, sorry if this is a reposted topic but I just can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

had my xperia z for about 2 months and the full HD playback for videos just doesn't seem to work on the phone at all.

Any ideas?

Edit: just realised I've uploaded 2 separate videos, but the both playback with the jumpy green bits on the phone, I've tried saving to phone and saving to SD card but nothing seems to work.

spesh,

1 - Is the video recorded on the Z or from other sources?

2 - Did you try to repair or update to the latest phone software?

Hi zann.

Both videos recorded on the phone, playback on Mac is ok, but on phone it's unwatchable.

I've put a 1080 video onto the phone via Mac and it plays flawlessly, it seems to be just the video that I record on the Z in 1080. The other resolutions are working fine

I've made sure it's updated, I've even factory reset to make sure

ok. i need you to try this. download MX Player and try to watch the video again.

Do you think it is just a bug with the in built media player the phone has?

yes. most probably. although, it doesn't make sense why a video recorded by the phone is not able to play properly on the phone. someone need to take note of this issue.
