Unfortunately system ui has stopped after Android 6.0.1 update

After updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1 the error message pop up "unfortunately system ui has stopped"! The only way that I know to solve this problem is removed the sd card.
How to solve the problem?

I don't think is SD card problem because it worked on other smartphone

Strange, I think I've seen this on other devices that recently updated to 6.0 in other boards (Z3,Z3c). Try to boot in safe mode and check if the same occurs.

I'm very sorry to hear that.

When this happens, are you able to access the phone and its menues? If so, would it be possible for you to take a log from the phone and send it to me?

To do this:
Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
Go back to Settings and select Developer options and turn on "USB debugging". Then tap "Logger buffer sizes" and set this to "4 M".
- The next time you get the error message:
Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report". When the report is ready (may take a minute or so) you get a notification that you can tap and share to Google Drive. Please send me a link to this file in a private message.

Totally cannot perform any function because the error message keep pop up no matter how many times I closed it.

Would it be possible for you to test if this happens with another SD card?

If you start the phone without SD card and then also enable Settings -> Developer options -> Bug report shortcut, are you able to take one from the menu displayed when you hold the on/off button when this happens?

Is there a fix for this already?

This problem occured on my Xperia Z2 after I updated to the latest firmware.

When the phone turns on, the error would show "Unfortunately system ui has stopped." while the screen is still black. ther ewould be an interval of 1 Sec per error message with the same message.

The only thing I can do is to press and hold the poer button and see the options such as , Power off, Restart, Screen Capture, Record Screen.

I tried other fixes for my phone like the Xperia Companion or Sony PC Companion but my phone comes with a Pin and the fact that I can't unlock my phone, the said fixes did not work.

Please help me. I know my pin if you need it.

So, I have the same problem. System-UI unfortunately has stopped. Cannot access the phone in any way. Tried with and without SD-card as suggested. Doesn't make a difference in safe mode. The error comes before being able to type in the pin. Therefor cannot connect to Sony PC companion either. Suggestions or maybe even a solution is most welcome.

hi. i upgrade to android 6.0.1

but my phon's error, the system ui is stoped work !

and the rest of the progeram was stoped..

i got out external memory card. the software is update

but the problem was not true.

I have the same problem on my z5 compact. Doesnt look like there is a resolution. So far i've read OS upgrade and faulty sd card as the only causes. Anything else? Has anyone found a solution?

I got a message saying that System UI has crashed and then I could not be able to do anything on the phone.

I did restart it but before I can do anything it just shows the same comment that System UI crashed

Did you root your smartphone? Did you tried to repair it with Xperia Companion?

I had this error yesterday. At first, I still had few seconds to do the factory reset before the error message showed. After reset the phone, I can use it for few hours and the error happened again. This time it happened immediately after the phone restarted so I cannot do anything. I'm using Sony Z3
