WF-1000XM4 left earbud regularly “crashes”

I’m finding that my left earbud is cutting out and then about a minute later comes back on with the battery level announcement, giving me the impression it’s crashing and rebooting.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m listening to an LDAC source with the XM4’s configured to preference highest audio quality and the source also configured this way. I think it might take at least an hour of listen before the issue begins. Distance between source and earbuds is roughly two metres. No obstacles in between.

I’ve tried the usual troubleshooting techniques to no avail. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is listening to another source for long enough to see if the behaviour is definitely source-independent.

Does this happen if you use them with all devices?
