WF-1000XM3 randomly making phone calls

A few times I have fallen asleep with my earbuds in and I’m woken up to my phone ringing one of the numbers in my contact list - not great at 1am in the morning!

Not sure how this can even happen as I’m not aware of a function that allows you to dial out.

Have you had any luck with stopping the ransoms phone calls? I’m having the same problem - middle of the night random calls to people in my contact list... I bought the noise cancelling earbuds to specifically wear at night... so this presents as a bit of a problem. I am unable to find anymore info on it, though... any help you have would me massively appreciated!!! Kind regards, Fiona

Were you able to locate any further information regarding this? I’ve recently purchased the earbuds to wear at night...but for two nights in a row, random calls have been made from my iPhone 8 - could the phone be the issue? Or is it the headphone? Any help you have with this issue would be very gratefully appreciated. Kind regards, Fiona

Have you tried changing the touch sensor function using the Headphones Connect app?

I haven’t tried it ..I’m a bit of a tech troglodyte! 😊... I’ve just turned the right side touch function off (as that seemed to be the problem) so fingers crossed. Thank you s much for your help! 🙏

I have been having the same problem. Turning the playback function off may help fix the issue

BUT my problem is, I want to use the playback system WITHOUT the voice assist. I use my earphone regularly for music, and having your earphone to randomly call people from your contacts is frankly.. annoying.. It also lead to some uncomfortable explaining to people who I called and a lot of apologies

maybe a way to fix this is to give an option for us to customize the tap functions on our earphone? So that I can customize the long tap for something else.
