    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi SteveJGormley,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;welcome to the Club VAIO Questions &amp;amp; Answers forum..:smileyhappy:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have you tried the following...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unplug the power cord &amp;amp; check the following items..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Is the voltage selector set to the correct voltage.?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Ensure the original supplied speakers are connected correctly.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Ensure the ventilation holes on the top and rear of the hifi are clear of dust and obstructions.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If you have an iPod or iPhone connected remove it from the dock.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If none of the above helps then either let us know.?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;contact Sony support for further advice, for contact details &lt;A href="http://support.sony-europe.com/contacts/email/email.aspx?site=odw_en_GB"&gt;click here&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
