Chromecast Cast icon dissapear

I have a Sony SRS-ZR7 connected to my home network. The unit is mainly used for music via Tidal app connected through Chromecast. Has been working fine for most of 2017, but during last 2-3 months I have experienced issues.

From time to time the unit will not show up as a Cast device within the various apps - including Google Home, Tidal, Sony Music, Pocket Cast etc. My other Chromecasts (Google) are normally OK and appear as Cast devices. If I restart the unit it will reconnect to the network and show up again (not an acceptable "solution").

Have tried various router settings, resetting multiple times, updated to latest firmware (5.03), latest Google Home, latest Google Play Services, No guest network on the router etc. etc.

I can always see the SRS-ZR7 on the network as a DLNA unit.

Usually the issue occurs when e.g. Tidal has finished playing through a playlist. When this is finished I cannot see the unit as a Chromecast device anymore. Same on all other phones/tablets (mixture of Sony Androids and Iphone).

Any suggestions? Is there a new firmware update on the way?
