I can't set an alarm time, it says to use different buttons in the guide and on-line and neither works.

Are you trying to set a play timer? You can do so using the Timer Menu (it's a button on the remote control),

It may help to tell us at which stage exactly you get stuck.

I have managed to set the alarm but it is not easy. The << >> buttons seem to not have a bounce supression, so the system seems to jump through the steps. So for example, after many tries, I had set the STop time but couldn't get the Start time. I eventually got it to accept Start time and it now has a play time and works. I now need to be able to stop it - a new problem.
