Hi,

I just got a Sony HT ST5000. I cannot get the HDMI Out port to work. When I connect it to the TV HDMI in there is no video from the soundbar.

Has anyone else faced this issue and is there a solution.

Can you please share some more details?

What type of video cannot be output to the TV? The menu, video from a connected device?

Are you using a cable according to the required specs?

How is everything connected?

Hi,

I do not get any video - menu of the soundbar (when I press home) or video from the set-top box.

I have connected using normal HDMI cable.

The connection as

- Optical cable from TV to soundbar

- HDMI cable from eArc OUT Port to TV eArc port (I also tried with the normal TV HDMI input but still no video)

- HDMI cable from set-top box to soundbar HDMI-1 port (i get the sound in this case from soundbar but no video on the TV)

-Make sure that only one cable connects the TV and Sound bar (preferably HDMI, not Optical).

-Make sure to select HDMI ARC from the TV input list

Is your TV a Sony?
