Deleting videos on my HDR-AS50

Transfering a video from the camera to my PC is simple as the camera behaves like a USB-stick, but how do I delete the video in the camera? When trying it says: "Media is write protected".

Is there a pc-program that works like the Android PlayMemories Mobile?

I first installed PlayMemories but did not like it. It started to go through my disk to find all pictures and videos which I did not want. It also contained a lot of functions I did not need. So I tried to uninstall it and found that there were no uninstall function. I had to manually find all libraries and registry places containing Sony and delete them.

The function I am looking for is the picture streaming and the camera settings as in the Android version.

Are the commands to remotely control the camera published somewhere?

Now I format the memory card to delete the videos, but is there no other way?
