If l set the cameras to group photos and take a burst of images, then protect the first image they won't let me delete the group. If l protect any other image in the group, and not the first, they will let me delete the group.

Seems strange feature, which l note the A9iii doesn't do, it lets you protect the first and delete the group.

It would be nice to get this 'fixed' in the Software updates.

Appears to be fixed with A1 update v2.00 !! Thanks to Sony.

Just update A6700 to v1.3 but unfortunately the 'issue' isn't fixed.

I think it's more logical for the firmware that it doesn't allow deleting a group that has a protected photo at all, whether it's the first one or not

That's not the way l use it. I take a burst of images at 20 or 30fps, then find the best individual frames, protect them and then delete the rest of the group. Works well for me.

Hey @GordonT, you can try taking the batteries out for a min and then reinsert them.
Try to initialize the camera as well: Reset

Can l ask what this will achieve ? Is it related to the A1, which is working perfectly for what l need, or the A6700 ?

Thankyou. Tried removing the battery, and reinserted, it made no difference to the 'issue'
