RMT-DSLR1 and SLT A37

In the compatibility info for the SLT A37 (http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/SLT-A37/compatibility), the remote commader is present as :

RMT-DSLR1 Wireless Remote Commander

Compatible with restrictions

Not usable during the movie recording.

In other documents it's writtent that the SLT a37 is not useable with the remote RMT-DSLR1.

So is it possible to use it and how ?

Hello wcarre - Welcome to the Sony Forums

As it is listed as compatible in the online documentation for this camera (with the restriction of not being usable during movie recording) it would be safe to assume that this is correct. The restriction may be the reason why it has been left out of other documentation i.e. because it is not 100% compatible. Looking around at some other online forums, other users have mentioned that this remote has worked with their A37 as well.

the RMT-DSLR1 is not compatible with the SLT-A37. You can however use the cable remote RM-L1AM. Some 3rd party manufactures offer wireless remote (the reciever is connected to the cable remoite socket).
