Hi, do anyone know how to recort videos in 50 fps whit the sony nex5n so you get that super slow and smouth slowmotion, iv'e looked everywhere on the internet and can't find the how to do it anywhere. this is the kind of slomotion i'm going for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5mQnboBKlI. please please help, i really want to be able to choot theas cinds of seans:) thanks!

Hi Eric, welcome to the Sony Forums

You should be able to select 50p / PS in the MENU > [Image Size] > [File Format] options and use a video editor to run the video at reduced speed.

Have you tried this and it doesn't work?

yes i have selected (AVCHD 50i/50p) and record settings> (50p 28m(ps)). then i imported it into imovie and reduced the speed but i got the same results as if i had a phonecamera or somthing. maby it's imovie that is the problem. do you know a good program for editing slowmotion that isn't to comlicatid? thank you very much for helping!:smileyhappy:

Ok it does seem that iMovie works by removing alternate frames, which won't give you smooth slo-mo.

Try MovieEdit.app http://movieedit.sourceforge.net – I'm not sure if varying speed is possible, but it will convert to 25p without resampling.
