CYBERSHOT DSC-HX5V, PMB 5.0 AND M2TS FILES

I am having loads of trouble with pmb, cybershot videos.

I decided to store all my photos and videos on a portable hard drive rather than on my pc hard drive. I thought that would save space on my computer and stop my computer from running do slowly. Anyway now that the photos and videos are on my portable hard drive I thought I would have been able to import them into pmb as and when I required to do so. Unfortunately it seems I cannot. Any advice?

I am also having difficulty playing the videos captured using my DSC-HX5V digital camera. They are showing as m2ts files and will not play on my pc. They did when I had them on pmb but I now have them on my portable hard drive.

I have pmb version 5 and when I check for updates I always get the message no updates available.

I suspect everytime you plug the portable drive in and start PMB you MAY have to tell PMB to track/register folders onn he portable drive.

Thats the only thing I can think of mate.
