topic Indoor settings for DSC-HX5 and GPS in Cyber-shot compact cameras

I have tried the various settings and am not having much luck finding settings to shoot pictures of groups of people indoors. There faces get a pit distorted/pixleated. I can do portraits ok, but not groups of people (for example 10 people).

Can someone give me advice on settings that work well?
