Rx100M2 Playback button does not now work

Please can anyone help on the following problem?

Camera was bough Dec 2015.

After a photo had been taken we use to be able to view the photos by pressing the playback button (one with an arrow in rectangle)

This no longer works.

Its possible to view these through one of the menu options, and also able to view and delete just after taking a photo and then turning the wheel. However the playback button does not work as it should.

Tried

Looking through menu to see if one of the options has been changed

Read the menu

Googled the problem

Taking battery out and a full reset.

I have the same problem with my RX100 mk iii did you find a solution?

I have tried everything to no avail.
