Stuck on "opening book"

My PRS T1 is stuck on the opening book screen. I was just reading and it somehow jumped to there.

Now it does not respond to any buttons or reset functions at all.

Even onnecting it to an PC or Mac does not help. It does not do anything anymore...

Please help me.

I had the same problem when I was performing a different operation (selecting a page of a book that was already open). I ended up sending it back to Sony. Turns out they solved the problem by charging it up for four hours. Then they tried to charge £30 me as they found no fault. I had to argue with them before they sent it back free of charge.

Yes, no surprise there !

But it is definitely always worth giving it a desent charge, via a wall charger for best results - its a more reliable method than the PC, as sometimes , if left on for a long period, it can switch into stand-by.switch off mode and actually drain the battery. You can safely leave it plugged into the wall overnight, as it won't overcharge this type of battery.
