after I have installed windows 8 on my VAIO desctop I have losts the touch screen capability . any similar experience help?

Looks like Windows 8 is a complete disaster!

I lost my Blu-Ray and can't install my printer!

May have to go back to 7 or even XP which was the last decent upgrade!

Hi Michael and welcome.

Have you followed the Sony upgrade instructions to the letter? Have you installed all the required drivers?

You do not give us your Vaio model so it is difficult to help in detail.

You need to install the correct Windows 8 drivers for your model - for example, I see that there is a Touchscreen Windows 8 driver listed for the VPCL21S1E/B on the downloads page for that model: -

8UPG_Touch Panel (NextWindow) 3.1 - 3.1.3.30.0903

However, you need to check if a driver is compatible with and available for your particular Vaio.

@ Mick - what model Vaio do you have? What blu-ray player software do you have on your Vaio? Did you follow the upgrade instructions?
