I have a Sony PCV-RX407 desktop with booting problem.

Hi everyone,

I have a PCV_RX407 desktop and on booting I get the message: Press F1 to resume and F2 to setup. I have initialised the bios but problem still persists. Can anyone please help me resolve this issue. Each time I go on line I have to change the time and date otherwise it plays havoc on all my updates.

If I have to change the cmos battery how do I go about doing this and how do I get to it? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Sunday 13th

In my frustration I removed the cover and replaced the cmos battery which was the same type as my weighing scale. The battery was rather difficult to remove but somehow I managed to prise it out. Booted computer and after a restart it is now working perfectly. I have shut it down for 8 hours and booted again and problem has vanished. Perfect time keeping and the right date.

So anyone with the same proble give it a go yourself.
