VGC-V2M issue with sound level via remote control

As the restore utility of my VGC-V2M refused to work, I have formatted the hard disk drive.

After installing the drivers and utilities found on

I still can not adjust the sound level via the remote control.

Do you have any idea of what I should do to fix the problem?

When I use the remote, it shows a full or empty level but the gauge does not increase the levels progressively and it has no impact at all on the sound level that remains the same.

I installed Windows XP Pro FR, with SP2.
