    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, your new hard disk will not be recognised until you use the disk management software on your computer to&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; format the disc and give it the identification, ie C disk,depending on the size of the hard disc total size you can&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; probably partition it to make at least another disk. The first thing you should do when getting a new computer is&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; to make a recovery system image disc or discs plus a boot repair disc. These are essential to get all your progammes back and all your files. It is too&amp;nbsp;late when the hard disk fails!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The new hard drive i installed is not reconised by the bios. I have an original copy of 7.       <description>&lt;P&gt;If you search for "digital River" on the internet you can download a copy of windows 7, you can then use your original product key to activate. Apparantly this site is approved by microsoft and it worked for me. the only downside is that you lose any pre installed software&lt;/P&gt;</description>
