can you please help me i got a sony vaio VPCJ21L0E all in one pc. and i tryed updating the graphics driver i get this error

Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact yourcomputer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

Hi amergstar.

Video driver upgrades are controlled by Sony and they should provide any updates.

Are you having a particular problem with the driver provided by Sony? If not, I would stick with Sony's latest driver.

What driver version are you trying to install? Sony may prevent you from installing a new driver using the installer .exe version of the driver, but you may be able to install the .zip version - it's worth a try. You will need to download the .zip file and extract the files by right-clicking on the downloaded .zip and choosing 'Extract All'. You will then need to go to Device Manager and install the driver using the 'Have Disc' method.

I'm not sure if this will work but it may be worth a try if you specifically need the newer driver to run a program.

how do i install the zip version? and i dont know what version it is because when i go on intell driver update utility i click on check system for updates i then click on graphics driver this comes up : A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. the current version that i am on is

product : intel r proccesor graphics 3000

current driver installed : 8.15.10.2291
