WWLAN 3G at present can I upgrade and use 4G

I have a 3G sim in the back of my Viao, but want to upgrade without using a dongle for 4G.

Can I just get a 4G sim and put it in the back and get 4G speeds or just 3G speeds

Hi ammanso11 and welcome to the Sony User Community.

The hardware neccessary to access 4G networks is different, so it will not be possible to connect using a 3G device.

4G devices will be backward compatible with 3G at 3G speeds.
