Vaio Laptop VGN-Z21WN/B Fn Keys Not Working

Hi,

I recently replaced Vista after 6 years with a clean install of Windows 7 x64. However, my Fn keys do not work along with S1, S2 and CD/DVD eject button.

Any thoughts please.

Hi navstar5.

Have you reinstalled the Windows 7 Drivers and Utilities?

You can download them by going to the Support pages for your model here: -

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-Z21WN_B/updates

Look inside Latest Downloads -> Windows 7 and install all the relevant drivers & utilities.

For the Fn Keys you need to install: -

Setting Utilities Series

Sony Shared Library

Vaio Event Service

Vaio Original Function Settings

You may also need to reinstall the original SFEP Driver from the Vista downloads.

Have a look in Device Manager to see if other drivers are needed - are there any yellow warnings (!).
