topic "Intel Rapid Storage Technology has stopped working" - what do I do? in PCs & Accessories

Hi all,

I have a Sony Vaio (Model number SVT1312C4E) which was working fine until a few nights ago. I noticed a message came up on the task bar telling me that Intel Rapid Storage Technology had stopped working. At the time I didn't think anything of it, but after I turned tried turning my laptop on the next day, it would freeze on the Start screen.

Luckily, it finally booted up normally and went past the Start screen, but I already notice a difference in speed. Previously, boot up took a few seconds. Now it takes much longer.

Is this a major problem, or is there an easy fix?

Thanks,

Neil
