My notebook VAIO APCS13CGX want help

Hey there, I have VAIO VPCS13CGX Notebook and I have win 7 PRO original on it but some problems happened and I could not boot from recovery part, so I make the formating operation from outer CD with win 7 PRO and activate it by the serial on the bottom of the NoteBook, and I download the Drivers from the Sony support Site, but when I install the Video Driver and Reboot the computer the light of the monitor going dark and the keys of the pritness and darkness does not work... and the monitor still dark not very..please some one help me....

This would seem to be a US model. Have you installed the Notebook Control Utilities from the following link?

Yes from this site I do, I installed Remote Keyboard Software Update but does not work !!!!!

Hi shaher_ahmed,

You have confused me. Are you using a remote keyboard as this would not seem to have relevance to your question and have you installed the Notebook Control Utilities?

Ultimately if we can’t help you will need to contact Support in the USA or post on their forum if it exists.

and I'm from Saudi Arabia Not from US...

My point is that this is a model released and supported by Sony USA not Sony Europe – strange system maybe but this is the way Sony work.

Yes that is the utility that I was referring to. This installs various utilities including Vaio Event Service which is necessary for the control of the Fn keys (including screen brightness, volume control etc.)

Please read the instructions on that page especially:

"If you have performed a clean install of the Windows 7 operating system (i.e., installed from a commercial, off-the-shelf, version rather than using the Recovery Wizard or Recovery Media Kit), please ensure that all original device drivers from the Sony support site have been installed on the computer"

I download all drivers from that site, and all drivers ok except the Fn keys, It does not work the Fn Keys does not work except the volume ( Sond )....

Sorry, but where the Sony Office here in Saudi Arabia? or the support here in KSA?

Here is the link for Sony Support in Saudi Arabia but I doubt that your model number will be recognised.

Have you checked Device Manager for any warning symbols – in particular the Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device that should appear under Human Interface Devices? If this is present and reported as working then try installing the Sony Notebook Utilities again.
