Cracking noise on my Sony Vaio T13

Hello,

I have serious problem with my Vaio-T13.

A weird noise coming from the right side of the laptop began a week ago and everyday the noise was louder.

Like cracking... Toc, toc, toc... Like somthing jumping around inside...

Yesterday the noise was even louder and i was not able to switch the laptop off. Today i tried to start it again and and after a few intents it worked, but I could not do anything with it and finally i shut down manually...

What can that be? Hardidsk?

It has only 3 months... Is that possible?

Hi Rui-Vaio and welcome.

From what you say, it does sound like a hard drive problem.

Although unusual, hard drives do fail and they are still susceptible to little knocks and bumps.

I would contact Vaio Support as a repair may be required.

Hi Blencogo,

I hope that the warranty will replace the harddisk or wathever it is...

The only problem is that i am now working in Nicaragua and i bought the laptop in Luxembourg Europe.

I do not think that they repair it here 😞
