problems rotating my screen image to portrait.

I have connected my Sony VPCSB1H7E laptop to a dell flat screen 2005FPW but I cannot make the screen image work in portrait when I rotate the Dell to the portrait position. I cant find any screen rotating tools in my graphics tools. I operate in Windows 7. Any one able to help?

Hi rln321 and welcome.

The Graphics Driver usually needs an update to support screen rotation. Dell provide a driver update for some graphics cards but these are usually for Dell computers.

Try Dell's suggestions to "Rotate Your Operating System" for an ATi Graphics when in SPEED Mode and also try Dell's suggestions for Intel Graphics when in STAMINA Mode - on their website here: -

I don't know if either of your graphics drivers will support this - let us know how you get on.

Or it is also possible that some Dell model doesn't have this type of feature.
