The fan in my VGN-S4VP/B is noisy and needs replacing. Is this something I can do myself?

Hi Ray,

Yes this is something that you could undertake yourself as long as you have the ability and the confidence to carry it through – otherwise you may end up with an expensive door stop! Or you could contact one of Sony Service Partners in your locality for a quotation.

You may possibly find that the fan just requires a thorough clean.

I am dealing with this as a reply to my initial enquiry because I dont know how to post a new enqiry, sorry it I am using the wrong proccess.

Vaio VGN-SVP B has a disk capacity of 60g, is it possible to replace this wit a larger drive and would that affect the machines operation?
