having problem with office 2010 stater which is pre installed on my laptop. everytime i try it says problem setting up try again/contact microsoft support product . i even tried reinstalling software( reinstalling stops at 35%, it was on 35% for almost 7-8 hours ......... ) .

Which model do you have?

If your Vaio is new, you may want to consider a complete recovery back to factory settings (you will find this option in Vaio Care).

Is your Vaio up to date with software updates from Vaio Update? There may be an update for Vaio Care.

If these do not work then you should contact Vaio Support and ask them for advice - they will ask you to try the Complete Recovery first.

Office Starter should be preconfigured to work out of the box - no registration or product code is required - don't click on any of the sales suggestions that you upgrade.

thanx for ur advice , its been 2 weeks since i got the vaio. it is up todate with the updates.i will try the links u gave first hope it helps if not i think i should consider a complete recovery to factory setting as u said. thanx again
