Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me. The battery life on my PCG-71311M has completely gone so i am looing to purchase a new battery. Ive looked on most websites on the internet but cant find an exact match for the battery i need. Ive also been in pc world and they have told me that they dont make batterys for my laptop anymore but i disagree with this because my laptop is only 1 year old. I would be gratefull if anyone could help me out with this issue

Hi Johnny85uk and welcome.

You are quoting the Chassis Model from the bottom of the Vaio - this Chassis model can be shared by a whole range of Vaios (often over 40 models) , so can you try to find the actual Vaio Product Model.

It will usually be found on the bottom-right of the screen surround and will probably start VPCEB2***.

If it is a VPCEB2*** then you will need a standard E-Series VGP-BPS22 battery but make sure you buy a genuine Sony battery as some of the cheaper replacement batteries offered on-line usually dont work or in the worst case cause permanent damage.

I see there is a genuine new VGP-BPS22 advertised on Amazon for £41 but others are also available: -
